Summer time..

So I'm finally on holiday! Uni is done for a month or two, thank goodness. I love what I do, but it's no average Monday to Friday course and I need time to recharge the old batteries. Clearly, I'm very behind in my blog! So perhaps the best way to catch up is through instagram photos, I love instagram so please follow me at by the primroses! My profile is private, because I've suffered with randomers following and stealing photos, but if you're not planning on stealing my photos or spamming I'd love to accept you!

So, whats happened since the last time I was here?

I went to Paris!

First time ever on a plane!

I modeled in Edinburgh College of Art's fashion show for a costume designer!

The dress I'm wearing is designer and made by Julia Black a costume design student, you can follow her on instagram here, and you can visit her lovely little etsy shop Fleurissement. The photo was taken by Carey Hughes Parry, a photographer at Edinburgh College of Art, and you can see his work here.

I finished uni for summer!
My hand in for the year...

I went to the Revel! Biggest fancy dress party in Edinburgh (out of festival time). I went as a pheonix but had lost my feathers by this time. Highlight? They had chips in newspaper cones!

Hope that wasn't too much of a photo fest... I'll definitely be more regular from now on!

A catch up... 52 Lists

I have lots to catch up with, but business first, I have been so behind on the 52 lists project by Moorea Seal, so here are weeks, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen and fourteen. Eek, too long. I started out doing little set ups for them, but because I was photographing them all on the same day I quickly began to run out of ideas and felt I'd rather save the ideas I did have, for future, more organised ones, so some have and some don't!

I made it! I'll blog about it next week!

As I was writing this, a little girl who comes round after school was eating her cheese toastie next to me, so I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up. She wants to own a riding school and be an artist. I can't wait to see what she does do.

Hey there!

Hello lovelies! I've not been so present because of a busy time at university, but I'm on my holidays just now and I have lots of lovely things to post, competition entries, a new blog design (any advice on how to design my own, or places to learn how to would be much appreciated!), photos from a holiday in Paris, and a whole five weeks (Eek! Sorry!) of 52 Lists project. But for now, here's a photo of some friendly chickens and my yellow wellies.

Week 9: List the places you want to go

In a week where I was ill and not enjoying this module in my course, this list was a lifesaver. Especially when it started snowing again yesterday. I thought it was spring! So disappointed. Anyway, this list helped me focus on what is here that I can enjoy and what I can look forward to in the not too distant future and what I can look forward to in the very distant future.

There was a challenge included in this weeks list, challenging me to go somewhere this week, so since I'm already going to Glasgow for my cousins birthday, I put that down  and the other two are ones I've hoped to do for ages, go for a swim and go to the beautiful German Konditorei down the road.

Hope you have a lovely week!

The project this week...

... Is hammering! We're learning about silversmithing and making a copper cup. And oh my goodness it's so hard! I have blisters all over my hands and the left hand side of my body is all tense from being overworked! If I try and open a jar I practically fall over from the pain. But, that aside, there's something quite therapeutic about forcing metal into an unnatural shape for it.. Wonder what that says about me?! Anyway, here's some photos I've taken of the process as it's gone on.

Getting somewhere! Have a smashing weekend!.. Yeah sorry, bad joke.

Week 8: List your favourite albums

I'm having a not so well week this week, so this was a nice bit of fun and the brownie in the picture was the best thing that happened to me all day. Amazing. If you're around Edinburgh, go to The Chocolate Tree, it's amazing, and if you're a chocaholic like me, you'll thank me.

I found the albums hard to choose! Especially since I have a lot of favourite songs which come from albums that I'm not a huge fan of, as a whole. Buut, these are the ones that I love to come back to again and again. Also, It's definitely going to get added to, this is only a small portion!
Maple and pecan chocolate brownie- heavenly.

New clothes

I invested in some new clothes in the last wee while, can't wait for warmer spring weather to wear them!

The skirt is from Primark, and is nice because it's shapely but with the split (that only goes up to the knee), it doesn't restrict walking in the way that maxi skirts can do. I got the stripy jumper from Fat Face and it is super comfy, new favourite jumper. And I have a lot of jumpers.

The blazer here is Karen Millen (I'm a huge Karen Millen fan) but I found it in a charity shop, for £10. Can't wait to wear it over floaty summer dresses.
This tunic is so so soft. I think Fat Face have perfected that thing that Hollister do to all their clothes that make them go super cosy. This is certainly cosy, but still floral, so I feel I can wear it in the season that-isn't-quite-spring-but-is-sunny-so-you-want-to-wear-spring-clothes-but-you'll-freeze-if-you-do.

I also got a pair of fake suede fringed shorts from Primark and a hat, in the Accesorize sale.

Come on spring! We need you!
